    Customer questions & answers

Question: Can this sleep two people?
Answer: Thank you for reaching out!
Yes! The Thule Tepui Foothill rooftop tent is designed to comfortably sleep up to two people.

Question: What roof rack system is being used on the Land Rover Defender shown in the photos?
    Answer: Thanks for your question!
The Land Rover appears to be fitted with a set of Thule WingBar Evo crossbars mounted to the Thule Evo Flush Rail foot pack and the compatible FitKit.

Question: Can you lock the tent to the car rails to deter theft?
Answer: Thank you for your question!
The Thule Tepui Foothill uses a series of security bolts to attach to the vehicle. These can only be removed by using a specific tool that ships with the tent.

Question: Is this tent compatible with a 2016 Toyota Highlander?
Answer: Thank you for reaching out.
The 2016 Toyota Highlander is not recommended for use with a Thule Tepui rooftop tent. Rooftop tents should be mounted to Thule roof rack systems on vehicles with a maximum weight capacity of 165 pounds. The Thule roof rack system on the Toyota Highlander is only rated for 110 pounds. Rooftop tents should not be mounted to factory-installed roof rack systems, since they do not provide adequate shape and weight distribution for carrying the tent.

I mounted this to my stock crossbars on my FJ Cruiser roof rack. It feels nice and sturdy up there and the tent folds out nicely and is roomy. I definitely won’t have any problems camping with this setup.

This rooftop tent formed an adventure for my two boys and I that I didn’t think I’d get during these weird times. I’m grateful -It fit my Subaru Crosstrek Sport way better than I thought it would. -quick setup (15-20 mins 1st attempt) -ladder felt like it was missing a little something, but is still very sturdy -The type of crossbars DO matter, recommend researching your own vehicle
